Neuropathy isn’t just nerve damage; it’s cellular stress and disrupted communication.
Diet, lifestyle, and ECS balance are powerful levers you control.
The Daily Ease Bundle provides daily support for the ECS and cellular balance.
No quick fixes exist, but consistent steps build a foundation for long-term comfort.
Neuropathy is one of those words that brings up fear and frustration for many people. Tingling, burning, or numbness in the hands and feet can affect everything from walking to sleeping. But here’s the thing — neuropathy doesn’t happen in isolation. It’s a sign that our cells, nerves, and internal communication systems are out of sync.
In this episode of Chip Talks Health, I unpack neuropathy in a way that’s approachable, connecting the dots between nerve health, lifestyle choices, and the role of our body’s master regulatory system — the Endocannabinoid System (ECS).

Hello, everyone, and welcome to another exciting version of Chip Talks Health. Today, we're going to talk about neuropathy.
If you have tingling, numbness, can’t feel your feet, can’t feel your hands, or experience weird random pains through your legs, hands, and arms, then this show is for you. We’re going to talk about what neuropathy is, what you can do about it, some natural things you can try, and some TrueMedX supportive tools that people have reported work pretty well for neuropathy.
Most of us think neuropathy always comes from diabetes. Well, that’s just not true. You can have neuropathy if you have hypothyroidism, kidney disease, liver disease, or nutritional deficiencies. A B12 deficiency can cause neuropathy. A thiamine deficiency (B1) can cause it. A B6 deficiency can cause it. A vitamin E deficiency can cause it. A copper deficiency can cause it. Folate deficiency can also cause it.
Interestingly, if you’re infected with H. pylori and some other bugs, you may struggle to build B12, absorb folate, or uptake iron. So infections can indirectly create neuropathy through nutrient deficiencies. The point is: neuropathy always has an underlying cause — and it’s not always diabetes.
Alcohol, chemotherapy, some antibiotics, antivirals, and heavy metals can cause neuropathy. Infectious diseases like HIV, hepatitis C, leprosy, diphtheria, shingles, cytomegalovirus, Epstein-Barr virus, and even COVID can also trigger it. There are autoimmune, hereditary, and mechanical causes too — and in about 30% of cases, the cause is unknown. But most commonly, neuropathy shows up in people with diabetes.
So, what if diabetic neuropathy — or neuropathy in general — isn’t just “damaged nerves”? What if it’s really about deficiencies, infections, or cells that are starved and confused?
Here’s the thing: you don’t make “bad” nerve cells. Every new nerve cell your body makes is perfect. Neuropathy isn’t about producing defective nerves — it’s about whether your cells have enough energy to do their jobs.
Neuropathy is really an energy issue. Nerves need ATP (cellular energy) to propagate signals. If ATP is low, the nerve signal can’t move smoothly. Imagine trying to light up a whole city with a dim power grid — everything flickers and fails. That’s what happens in neuropathy: not enough juice to keep signals flowing.
Now, how does the body decide if a nerve cell is ready to “join the collective” and fire properly? That’s where the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) comes in. When a nerve cell is healthy, it expresses CB1 receptors. These help it regulate excitability, protect mitochondria, and maintain plasticity.
But in neuropathy, CB1 receptor expression can become unbalanced. Too many receptors = over-suppression of signals (numbness). Too few receptors = hyperexcitability (seizures). Either way, it’s dysregulation.
So why does the ECS skew? Stress, malnutrition, and infections all play a role. For example, gut imbalances like SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) create toxins that disrupt the immune system and insulin sensitivity. That’s why some people develop insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes through gut issues, not just diet.
When mitochondria — your cell batteries — are under stress, they leak electrons, creating oxidative stress. This adds more “static” to your nerve signals. To counter this, we need to support mitochondrial health. That’s why we designed the TrueMedX Mito formula — packed with CoQ10, PQQ, alpha lipoic acid, NAC, riboflavin, and niacin — to give mitochondria what they need to generate energy more efficiently.
But mitochondria are only one piece. Lipid balance also matters. Too much Omega-6 and not enough Omega-3 leads to a hyperinflammatory state — making cells overreactive. By bringing Omega-3s back into balance, cells calm down and reduce static in signaling.
On top of that, anti-inflammatory botanicals like turmeric, ginger, and black pepper (found in our TrueMedX Vitality product) further reduce inflammatory drivers behind neuropathy.
Nutrition and infection are two critical boxes to check. If you’re malnourished — lacking in Omega-3s, amino acids, or vitamins — you won’t signal properly. If you’re infected with gut pathogens, parasites, or bacteria, you’ll constantly generate immune “static.” Both must be addressed before targeting mitochondria directly.
Once those boxes are checked, supporting mitochondria with TrueMedX Mito, regulating inflammation with Vitality, and balancing the ECS with the Daily Ease Bundle provide a solid foundation for nerve health.
I like to use the orchestra analogy: every cell plays a frequency through ATP production. Together, these create a symphony — your body in balance. The ECS is the conductor. But if some cells stop listening due to stress or infection, the music gets chaotic. Our goal is to clear the static, restore the conductor’s signal, and let the orchestra play together again.
Neuropathy isn’t inevitable with age. You’re not doomed to nerve decline. God designed you to make perfect cells at any age. The challenge is nourishing them properly, removing interference, and giving mitochondria the tools to thrive.
So check out TrueMedX, look at our bundles, or if you’re local, come into Neighborly Wellness for a scan. We’ve built solutions that support the body differently — by honoring its design and restoring balance.
That’s it for today’s episode. See you back next week for another Chip Talks Health.
Most people think of neuropathy as just nerve damage. But if we zoom out, what’s happening is more like a disruption in cellular communication. Nerves are supposed to carry clean signals — like fiber optic cables. When the insulation around those cables (the myelin sheath) wears down, or when the signal itself gets “noisy,” you end up with the strange sensations people describe.
I like to think of it as your body’s wires sparking instead of flowing smoothly. And once those sparks start, they can spread frustration through the whole system — physically and emotionally.
There isn’t just one cause. Some of the more common contributors include:
Metabolic stress — high sugar diets, insulin resistance, and poor circulation.
Nutrient depletion — low B vitamins, magnesium, and essential fatty acids.
Environmental stress — toxins, chemicals, and even long-term medications.
Cellular stress — mitochondria not producing enough energy to keep nerves healthy.
Infections — from H. pylori and SIBO to viruses like Epstein-Barr or shingles.
Notice a theme? Stress. Neuropathy often comes down to how much cellular stress the body is carrying and how well the ECS can buffer and regulate that load.
I’m not here to give you a “magic cure” — that doesn’t exist. What I can share is that your body is designed with built-in repair systems. When you support those systems with the right inputs, you give yourself the best chance to regain comfort and function.
Some foundational tools:
Food is chemistry. A diet that reduces sugar spikes, balances fats, and delivers consistent vitamins and minerals helps take the load off your nerves. Think: colorful vegetables, healthy oils, clean proteins, and hydration.
This is where the Daily Ease Bundle comes in. We designed it to support daily resilience with nutrients and botanicals that keep the ECS balanced. It’s not a treatment — it’s a way to give your body consistent support while you make the lifestyle changes that matter most.
The bundle includes:
Comfort Tablets – for day-to-day ease.
Vitality Tablets – for energy and resilience.
Calm Drops – to keep your system regulated when life pulls hard.
Even light walking, stretching, or swimming helps nerves get the oxygen and nutrients they need. Movement also signals the ECS and mitochondria to stay active.
Mitochondria — your cell batteries — need nutrients like B vitamins, magnesium, and omega oils to keep nerve cells firing properly. Without them, the “wires” of your nervous system flicker.
Everything ties back to the ECS. This system regulates how your body perceives pain, how your nerves communicate, and how you recover from stress. If the ECS is underfed or overstressed, neuropathy symptoms can feel louder.
By supporting your ECS with diet, lifestyle, and natural supplementation, you’re not “fixing” neuropathy directly — you’re restoring the environment where your nerves can do their job with less interference.
Neuropathy can feel overwhelming, but you are not powerless. By shifting what you eat, how you move, and how you support your ECS, you can change the environment your nerves live in.
Remember, it’s about easing the daily load — not chasing miracle cures. The body is designed to repair and adapt when we give it the right tools.

Neuropathy is when your nerves don’t communicate properly, leading to symptoms like tingling, numbness, burning, or pain. It’s often linked to cellular stress and disrupted signaling rather than just “bad nerves.”
No. While diabetes is the most common cause, neuropathy can also result from nutrient deficiencies, thyroid or kidney issues, infections, certain medications, or even long-term inflammation.
There’s no quick fix, but supporting your body with balanced nutrition, movement, stress reduction, and proper cellular energy support can help create an environment where nerves function more effectively.
B vitamins (especially B1, B6, B12), vitamin E, magnesium, omega-3 fatty acids, and antioxidants like CoQ10 are important for nerve signaling and energy production.
The ECS acts as your body’s master regulator. It helps nerve cells stay balanced, prevents overexcitation, and supports recovery from stress. When it’s out of balance, neuropathy symptoms can feel stronger.
Eating a whole-food diet, staying active, reducing sugar intake, supporting gut health, and practicing stress management can all help ease the daily load on your nervous system.
TrueMedX products, like the Daily Ease Bundle, aren’t treatments or cures. They’re designed to support your body’s natural balance — helping with daily resilience, cellular energy, and inflammation management while you make important lifestyle changes.
