One of the biggest misconceptions in health right now is that mast cell activation is a disease.
It’s not.
It’s a response.
“Mast cell activation… that’s a sign of stress.”
Your body is not randomly malfunctioning.
You were designed to work.
So when mast cells become reactive, inflamed, or overly sensitive, there is always an underlying reason.
The Dimmer Switch: Why Most People Feel “Off”
You are not just “healthy” or “sick.”
You are somewhere on a spectrum.
Think of it like a dimmer switch.
Most people are operating somewhere in the middle—not at full capacity.
Why?
Because we are missing the foundation.
We call them Foundational Nutrients because without them, nothing else works properly.
Most people today are deficient in:
This leads to:
Without nutrients, the body cannot maintain balance.
What Mast Cells Actually Do
Mast cells are not bad.
They are intelligent.
They live in the:
Their job is to:
They are your body’s early warning system.
Why Mast Cells Become Hyper-Reactive
When your body is depleted:
Mast cells detect this stress and respond.
Sometimes too aggressively.
That’s when you see:
Mast cell issues are not a disease — they are a signaling problem, often driven by a lack of foundational nutrients.
When mast cells are overstimulated, they release histamine.
Histamine is responsible for:
If mast cells are unstable, this response becomes excessive.
Many people notice their symptoms:
This happens because mast cell activation is often tied to:
Most people try to fix this by jumping straight into:
And they get worse.
Why?
Because mast cells are already unstable.
You have to stabilize the system first.
If you go too fast, you can trigger flare-ups.
Too many omega-6 fats increase inflammation. Omega-3 helps stabilize mast cells.
Supports repair, structure, and communication between cells.
Support enzyme function, energy production, and immune regulation.
Start with Foundational Nutrients.
This is your base.
TrueMedX Foundational Nutrients are designed to support:
If you can’t absorb nutrients, nothing works.
This is where Gut Restore and collagen support come in to rebuild function.
Once the system is stable:
These become more effective and less reactive.

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another exciting version of Chip Talks Health.
Today we’re going to talk about mast cells, which is pretty exciting. A lot of you out there have mast cell issues, or know someone who does.
If you have food sensitivities, IBS-type symptoms, or diarrhea, this may apply to you. If you have skin reactions like rashes, hives, or eczema—pay attention. Sinus congestion, flushing in your face or chest, temperature dysregulation, or lightheadedness… even POTS-like symptoms when you stand up.
Swelling in your hands, feet, or eyelids. Anxiety, brain fog, feeling wired but tired. Panic episodes, headaches, migraines, light or sound sensitivity, burning or tingling sensations.
Fatigue. Inflammation markers. Allergy-like symptoms.
If you’re experiencing these, there’s a good chance you’ve got something going on with your mast cells.
We see this all the time in the clinic. People are very sensitive, and when we try to address infections, they often get worse. Especially with skin reactions like eczema, itching, or breakouts.
These individuals need to be handled in a very specific way.
A lot of times, in traditional medicine, this gets labeled as a mast cell disorder. But that doesn’t appear to be the full story.
Mast cell activation is really a sign of stress.
Your body isn’t randomly malfunctioning. You were designed to work. So if mast cells are reacting, there is always a reason.
Let’s talk about how we think about health.
Most people think in a binary way—you’re either healthy or you’re sick. But that’s not really how it works.
Health is more like a dimmer switch.
There’s a full level of function that we’re capable of, and most people are not operating there. We’re somewhere in the middle, or even lower.
Why?
Because we’re missing foundational nutrients.
Without those nutrients, our body can’t build proper barriers. We end up with weak protection, and that allows things to get in—whether that’s toxins, microbes, or stress signals.
When you have the right nutrients, you build a stronger system. You create a better “border wall,” so to speak.
So the question becomes—where are you on your dimmer switch?
Most people are low in three major areas: omega balance, protein and collagen, and key vitamins and minerals.
When those are off, your body doesn’t respond correctly.
Now let’s talk about mast cells.
Mast cells are actually very intelligent. They’re part of your immune system and they live in your gut, your lungs, and your skin.
They act as an early warning system.
They detect changes in the environment and coordinate a response.
That’s a good thing.
But when your body is depleted—when nutrients are low and repair isn’t happening—those signals start to change.
Mast cells begin to detect more stress.
And they react.
Sometimes they overreact.
That’s where you get histamine release and inflammation.
Histamine is what drives allergic reactions. It’s responsible for things like eczema, rashes, and other inflammatory responses.
So when mast cells are unstable, histamine becomes excessive.
And that’s where symptoms start to show up.
Now here’s something important—mast cell issues are not a disease.
They’re a signaling problem.
They’re a misconfiguration inside the body, often caused by a lack of foundational nutrients.
So instead of asking, “What disease do I have?” the better question is, “Why is my body signaling this way?”
Another thing we see is that symptoms tend to come and go.
People will say their eczema flares up, then calms down, then comes back again.
That’s because mast cell activation is often tied to cycles—like infection cycles, environmental stress, or internal imbalances.
It’s not random.
Now let’s talk about the biggest mistake people make.
Most people jump straight into detox, antimicrobials, or trying to kill infections.
And they get worse.
Why?
Because their mast cells are already unstable.
When you push too hard, too fast, you trigger more reactivity.
So there is a correct order to this.
First, you calm the system.
You restore foundational nutrients.
Then you rebuild your barriers—your gut, your cellular communication, your ability to respond.
Then, and only then, do you start addressing infections.
And you do it slowly.
If you don’t follow that order, you’re going to run into problems.
Now let’s break down the three foundational nutrient categories.
First, omega-3 versus omega-6 balance.
Most people have way too much omega-6, which drives inflammation. Omega-3 helps calm that and stabilize mast cells.
Second, protein and collagen.
These are critical for repair. They support your cellular structure and communication.
Third, vitamins, minerals, and cofactors.
These are required for enzyme function, energy production, and immune regulation.
Without them, your system simply can’t function properly.
So what does this look like in real life?
You start with foundational nutrients. That’s your base.
Then you support your gut and your ability to absorb and use those nutrients.
And once your system is stable, you can begin addressing deeper issues like infections.
At Neighborly Wellness, we take this a step further.
We don’t guess.
We use AI-based body scans, bioresonance, and pattern analysis to understand what’s going on in your system.
We look at where you are on that dimmer switch, what’s stressing your body, and what support you actually need.
Then we build a plan around that.
So if you feel like you react to everything… if your symptoms don’t make sense… if nothing has worked long-term…
That’s not random.
That’s your body communicating.
And it’s telling you that something deeper needs to be addressed.
Your next step is to start supporting your system.
Focus on foundational nutrients. Support your omega balance. Work on your gut.
Or, if you need guidance, come see us at Neighborly Wellness.
We can run a scan, build a personalized plan, and help you move forward in a way that actually works.
Final thought—
Your body isn’t failing.
It’s under-supported.
Without the right nutrients, you’re not going to be operating at your full potential.
Let’s rebuild the foundation.
Let’s calm the system.
Let’s get your body working the way it was designed to.
We’ll see you next time.
